Nike Free Run 2

Who would have ever thought that I would buy a pair of sporty sneakers? I surely didn't! Or secretly maybe a bit...

In my previous post I already mentioned that my sneaker hunting part had begun and I've finally found the right pair. I firstly thought these Nike Free Run 2 were too sporty for me, but as of the moment I put them on, I knew I found my pair of sneakers. These shoes are sometimes also used for running, but I'm not planning to use them for sporting. When the weather is getting better and there's no need to wear coats or jackets anymore, I'm sure I'll put on a long cardigan and slip into these shoes. That would look great, don't you think? Hopefully we don't have to wait that long, because I can't wait to show you it in an outfit post.

I don't think it's a big surprise I chose black since I like to wear neutral colors, but I'm afraid that when Spring is around the corner I can't control myself buying a bright colored pair.. or light grey ones.. or.. no, no stop it haha!

Anyways, what do you think of these sneakers? Do you own a pair already?

Sneaker Inspiration

Monday, February 2, 2015

It took me quite a time to convince myself to start wearing sneakers outside the gym. I'm much more of a person who wears either boots or flats. Ok, I have to admit that I do own a pair of white converse, but that's it. I somehow always found that a pair of sporty shoes didn't really suit me. The trend of wearing sneakers is daring me though. Some outfit inspiration pictures on Pinterest convinced me to start hunting for a nice pair of running shoes. But (yes, there's a but) as I mentioned lots of times before, I can be quite picky sometimes. So the question remains 'what kind of sneakers do I want to buy?' New Balance or Nike Run? And what about the color? Black, grey or a bright color? My my, it's not an easy decision for someone who likes lots of things, but isn't sure what she likes most. Anyways, it's pretty clear that the hunting part has begun! What do you think of the sneaker trend?

Winter shades

Saturday, January 24, 2015

Finally my first outfit picture of the year! It has been pretty cold here and the grey weather didn't support me for some shootings outside either, but when I woke up this morning and saw snowflakes falling down, I couldn't wait no longer. Snow gives me happy feelings, so reason enough to put on some warm clothes and go outside. I really need some furry things to keep me warm these days. My teddy coat and this plaid scarf are my favorites at the moment. When I was younger I didn't wear light shades so often during Wintertime, but right now I actually like it. It really brightens up the dark days, don't you think? What are your must-haves in Winter?

Hair Inspo

I've been thinking about some changes to my hair lately. Not specifically with the color, I'm happy with my brunette look, but sometimes I really wish for an update of the model.

Even though I like my hair to be long, because it's simply easy to create a braid, a ponytail or a high bun, I still catch myself dreaming about a shorter cut. I've been scrolling through many pictures on Pinterest and I feel like daring myself to cut it, but I know myself and I know that when I cut my hair off, I like the new model for two weeks where after I start craving for my long hair again. In my opinion it's not so easy to create a nice updo with short hair, I hear you saying 'that's not true, there're plenty of updo's you can create', but yeah, I might be a little bit stubborn. My hair is really fine and I'm afraid that it gets so limp - or limper perhaps - when I cut it short. I really wish for long beautiful, thick hair (who doesn't?!) but it seems that my hair, somehow, stops growing at a certain length haha.

So yes, I want something different, but I'm not such a dare-devil when it comes to cutting my hair. Should I go for a long blunt cut or just a trim? And what about an (angled) lob? And then.. bangs or no bangs? Decisions, decisions.. Here are some hairspiration pictures. What's your opinion?
