Pinky Blazer

Tuesday, September 22, 2015

I don't know what it is, but I have a thing for blazers. I've always had a weakness for these pieces, so no wonder I wear them a lot when it's too chilly to wear just a top and too hot to wear a jacket. The one I'm wearing in the pictures is so easy to wear and the pockets and the zipper around the middle just give the blazer an extra twist. I'm already thinking about other ways to style this one. It would look great with a pair of blue jeans as well.. And oh, what about adding it to a white denim and a white top? Though that might be a bit too summery for now.

Btw, that reminds me! Can you believe we're halfway September already?! It feels like in a blink of an eye that Summer is gone! I'm still crossing my fingers for lovely warm days, but I'm afraid we all have to give in as chilly days are coming. But hey, let's be optimistic, it's time for layering again. Gotta love Fall for that! I'm planning on doing a Fall inspiration post soon, so stay tuned! Have a lovely week. :)

Put a Hat on It

Friday, September 4, 2015

A hat is definitely a staple that makes an outfit a little less boring. I've been wanting to buy a hat for a longer time, but I never dared to do so. Not the buying part actually, but the wearing part. I mean, why would I buy it if I don't dare to wear it? On the other hand, if I buy it, maybe I start wearing it.. at least it's the perfect rescue for a bad hair day!

One of my favorite fashion brands, SuperTrash, launched its new a/w collection and yet again the hats were back in stock. Oeee, how much I like the model and the colors! I kept visiting the website, but never pushed the buy button. I was still doubting, but only up until this week when I bumped into the hats in real life. I hate when I'm doubting so much.. Putting the hats on and off, changing from color to color, deciding whether it suited me or not.. but finally, after 1000 times trying them on, I decided to buy the black one (loooove these and these too).

I'm still a bit shy when wearing it though.. Maybe that's because I live in a small village where fashion isn't the highest priority, I think it's much more comfortable wearing such an accessory when living in a city. But yeah, I just have to do it.. guess I have to convince myself from that first haha.

Have a lovely weekend everyone! <3

LBD & Denim Vest

Saturday, August 29, 2015

Denim, love it or hate it. I'm still not a big fan of wearing denim on denim, but in general I do like denim vests and their longer armed sisters, the denim jackets. Layering can be pretty difficult in Summer as you don't want to wear anything that makes you feel hot. Adding a denim vest, however, never can go wrong. You can basically throw it over anything you wear and it will make an outfit much more interesting. I especially love the combo of denim and black, and as for this time of the year I think a denim vest and a cute little black dress is a great look for chilly Summer days, don't you agree? :)

Clinique Sonic Purifying Cleansing Brush

Tuesday, August 18, 2015

This Clinique Sonic Purifying Cleansing Brush is the BEST thing in the world! When I first heard about cleansing brushes about a year ago, I was enthusiastic yet a bit skeptical - I mean doesn't get the brush dirty from leftover makeup? Because that makes it pretty easy for bacteria to settle and to completely get loose, isn't it?! It took me a year to finally decide to have this system myself and, well, it absolutely has proven my skeptical thoughts wrong.

I've always been taking care of my skin a lot. Every morning and evening I use face products such as a cleanser, a toner, and a face cream. I also scrub my face once a week and use GlamGlow's Supermud up to two times a week (read more about this product here). As if that wasn't enough, since a couple of weeks this miracle of a cleansing brush from Clinique has been in my daily skincare routine, I use it both in the morning and evening.

The first thing I do when cleansing my face is, of course in the evening, getting rid of all the makeup on my face. Then I wet my face and dry it with a clean towel. Now the fun part starts! I wet my face (again) and the brush with water, followed by applying cleanser (could be any of your choice) on the brush. After pushing the start-button I roll the brush, making round circles, on my face for one minute, making sure I reach all areas. Then I rinse my face and the brush with water (water is enough to cleans the brush, you don't have to use any antibacterial soap). I finish my routine with some toner and face cream which I apply on a slightly wet face for a better result. Every single time my face feels like a new born skin, it's so soft and clean. And believe me, I consider it clean when the cotton pad is left completely white after applying toner.

This brush comes with the standard green brush, but as you can see in the picture above I use a blue one which is especially for skin types that suffer from acne or blemishes. This brush is gentler and cleanses deeper. You can use the darker blue part  - or the rougher area on top of the brush - on the more problem areas, like the T-zone for example.

What can I say? I'm in love with this brush. I've been using it for three weeks now and my skin feels - despite some blemishes - clean, soft and healthy. I honestly think that when I decide not to use this brush for even one night, I would still feel like my skin is not clean enough. Yuck, can't even think about that anymore haha. This thing will be in my life forever - and yes, I know that already.

So, what about you.. Are you familiar with cleansing brushes? If yes, what are your thoughts about it? If no, I can highly recommend you go to the shop immediately and get it yourself.. it will be life changing, I promise! Have a beautiful day everyone! :)
